The company is strengthening its Large Scale sales organization with the promotion of three experienced leaders to Regional Director roles while expanding its sales team to support increasing customer demand and market opportunities.
Effective July 13, 2026, Brice Warner will serve as Regional Director, East; Cara Richards will become Regional Director, Midwest; and Brett Dotson will assume the role of Regional Director, West.
These appointments reflect more than individual career milestones. They represent SMA’s continued investment in regional leadership, customer relationships and the talent needed to maintain its position as a trusted partner in one of the fastest-growing segments of the energy industry.

His ability to build strong partnerships across customers, engineering teams and project stakeholders has been instrumental in delivering successful outcomes.

Cara Richards has become a trusted advisor to customers throughout the Midwest through her deep technical expertise, strategic mindset and authentic leadership style. Her ability to align customer objectives with long-term business goals has strengthened relationships and expanded opportunities throughout the region.

Brett Dotson has earned a reputation for combining market insight with a people-first approach to leadership. Through major account wins, mentorship and strategic customer engagement, he has helped drive growth across the Western United States while developing the next generation of sales talent.

In their new roles, Brice, Cara and Brett will lead regional growth strategies, deepen customer engagement, strengthen cross-functional collaboration and help ensure SMA remains closely aligned with the evolving needs of the utility-scale market.
Their promotions also create opportunities for further expansion. SMA will begin recruiting additional Strategic Account Managers to strengthen regional coverage and support customers in both established and emerging markets.
