SMA and CEP Celebrate Opening of U.S. Integration Facility for MVPS Solutions in Arkansas

Last week, SMA, in partnership with CEP and Mountain Ridge Energy Services, officially celebrated the opening of a new U.S. integration facility for Medium Voltage Power Station (MVPS) solutions in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

The event brought together customers, partners, industry stakeholders and SMA leadership to mark an important milestone in strengthening domestic integration capabilities and delivering closer support to the U.S. market. 

The facility will support the integration of SMA’s MVPS solutions, combining SMA inverter technology with U.S.-integrated medium-voltage transformer and monitoring equipment before deployment to projects across the country. By bringing this work closer to customers, the partnership helps simplify logistics, improve responsiveness and strengthen supply chain resilience for utility-scale solar projects. 

Representatives from SMA, CEP and Mountain Ridge Energy Services spoke throughout the event about the long-standing collaboration behind the initiative and the shared commitment to supporting the continued growth of the U.S. energy market. 

SMA’s Executive Vice President of Large Scale Solutions, Florian Bechtold addressed attendees during the ceremony, highlighting the importance of strong international partnerships paired with local execution and customer proximity. 

The event also underscored the growing importance of domestic infrastructure and trusted partnerships as the U.S. energy sector continues to scale rapidly. Guests toured the facility, connected with teams from across the organizations and discussed the evolving needs of the utility-scale market. 

Most importantly, the opening reflected the strength of collaboration across teams and companies. From engineering and operations to logistics, service and customer support, the project represents years of coordination focused on delivering reliable, scalable solutions for customers in the field.
