Service Tip: Which SMA Inverters support Modbus?

With the Modbus protocol interface, SMA offers plant owners the option of a flexible use from  various inverters, chargers or system managers.

SMA devices can be used in the preferred system at any time without considering manufacturer-specific features. This solution is ideal for direct device integration into control centre systems or the connection to building automation systems.

Where can I find more information?

Many plant operators and installation companies want to know whether their SMA devices support Modbus and where exactly relevant instructions and documentation can be found.

You can find this information in the download area of the relevant product site under ‘Parameters / Modbus’.

Additonally, there is also a zip file with detailed instructions, supported Modbus registers and further tips.

Do you have any further suggestions for the Modbus interface?

Same comment as Eric, the file cannot be downloaded. Is there an explanation on how to enable Modbus on a 3600TL-21? Port 502 is closed on mine.
