      Hello Marcos,

In general, it is advisable to establish a direct connection via ethernet cable between the Sunny Boy inverter and the Energy Meter.
Please bear in mind that we cannot guarantee an accurate functionality if power line adapters are use.

      Kind regards, Tobi

        1) Hi Tobi, connecting the Emeter directly to the inverter allows both devices to still connect to Internet (Sunny Portal)?
How do they connect to Internet if their ethernet ports are used only to make them communicate between eachother?

        2) SB3000TL-21 is compatible with EMETER-10 for zero feed-in mode, right?

        Thank you!

      Hi Federico,
yes the SMA Energy Meter can linked directly with the SB1.5 1VL-40 via Ethernet cable. The order code is: EMETER-10.

        Ok,
And when e-meter is connected to the same network of the inverter.
In the same Web page of the inverter i can see at the same time what produced the FV and what I consume?
        Or I need another components?

Federico, you can see this on the WebInterface and also on the Sunny Portal, which you can use for free.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the questions…

Will the SMA SB-2000HF high-frequency string inverters work with the SMA SI-80H-11 sunny island battery inverter?

Essentially I am trying to ascertain which small scale solar inverters will function with the sunny island battery inverters. Do not wish to buy an incompatible solar inverter.

    Hi,
Will the SMA SB-1300TL-10 or SB-1600TL-10 string inverters work with the SMA SI-80H-11 sunny island battery inverter?

    Many thanks.

    one more question:
Are Sunny Boys 1.5 and 2.5 suitable for off-grid or self-consumption applications with Sunny Island Inverters?

      Hi,
I’m very sorry for the late answer.
Unfortunately, this is not possible at the moment, because we don’t have a country standard. If you wish, I keep you up to date.

      Best regards,

      Sarah

disappointing to read that the sunny boy 1.5 will not be supported for use with the sunny island; I was looking at the microinverters but evidently they will also not “co-operate” with a sunny island battery inverter.

so, what is the smallest capacity solar inverter that *will* work with a sunny island battery inverter?

      Hi,

thank you Sarah for your answer.
So, if I understand correctly, they will be able to work with Sunny Islands in the future?

SMA inverters are best in performance, but their availability in India is difficult. Even SMA India do not market them directly and dealers seems less responsive.

SMA must review its marketing policy (must add more re sellers), so inverters are easily available to common men at write price.

    Two questions:

1/ When will this inverter be available to UK wholesalers?

2/ New 96 cell Benq Sunforte 300W 20% efficient panels are now available for single purchase. Because their Voc is 65V no micro-inverters are available on the market to be used with them. The Sunny Boy 1.5 will allow for a two panel system to be created because its Vmin is 80v which is great. SolarEdge P500 power optimizers are usable with these panels but does any SMA inverter have the ability or should it have the ability to have it’s MPPT switched off to allow use with power optimizers?

      Hi,
      1. The inverter is available now. Please contact your wholesaler.

      2. You have the possibility to switch from MPPT mode into the “constant voltage mode” in order to enable the inverter operating on a constant voltage source as well (login in the installer mode).

      Best regards,

      Sarah
